Personally curated by Music Director Franz Welser-Möst, this deluxe 15-LP box set celebrates his extraordinary 25-year tenure with The Cleveland Orchestra through landmark recordings that trace the ensemble’s distinctive sound in the 21st century.
The collection reflects the depth and breadth of Welser-Möst’s tenure with the Orchestra: spanning works by Haydn, Mozart, Beethoven, Schubert, Bruckner, Eastman, Tchaikovsky, R. Strauss, Sibelius, Shostakovich, and Verdi, alongside Cleveland Orchestra commissions by Kaija Saariaho, Bernd Richard Deutsch, and Allison Loggins-Hull. It also features celebrated soloists — including the late Radu Lupu — and The Cleveland Orchestra Chorus.
